This film is like a mix tape/love letter to Richard Linklater. 23 Austin filmmakers each recreated a section from Linklater’s classic 1991 film “Slacker” 20 years later as a fund raiser for the Austin Film Society. The result was this anthology film re imagining the original by a motley crew of up and coming Austin filmmakers including the “video backpacker” scene by Geoff Marslett (also stay through the very end of the credits to see one more piece by Geoff).
